The Jemez Mountains Firewise Association (JMFA) is our local, on-the-ground non-profit partner in wildfire prevention. This organization works directly with neighborhoods, HOAs, and residents to help them understand and implement Firewise principles.
They are a vital community resource for organizing chipper days, applying for grants, and providing education on how we can all live more safely in the wildland-urban interface. We encourage all residents to visit their website and get involved.
