Copyrighted Multimedia: We do not post copyrighted multimedia content without proper permissions. We always give credit to the original creators.
8. Stay On-Topic
Relevant Discussions: We keep discussions relevant to the forum or topic at hand. Off-topic posts may be removed to maintain the focus of the community.
9. Event Posting
Event Guidelines: Events posted to the community should be relevant, accurately described, and adhere to community guidelines. We ensure that events are not disruptive or inappropriate.

- Any other areas explicitly designated for business or commercial posts
- Posting in non-designated areas is not allowed.

- Products and services promoted on JemezVillage.com must be lawful and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Vendors must accurately represent their products and services, including clear descriptions, pricing, and any relevant terms and conditions.
- Misleading or deceptive advertising is prohibited.

- Failure to adhere to these policies may result in the removal of content, suspension of posting privileges, or other disciplinary actions.

JemezVillage.com Farmers’ Market Online Sales Policy & Guidelines
1. Eligibility for Online Sales
Vendors selling through JemezVillage.com must comply with New Mexico’s Homemade Food Act. Only non-potentially hazardous foods may be sold online, including:
- Baked goods (must not require refrigeration)
- Jams & jellies (excluding low-sugar varieties)
- Non-cream-based candies
- Certain dry mixes
- Dried fruits & vegetables
- Vinegar & flavored vinegar
Prohibited items: Meat, dairy, seafood, canned goods, and perishable foods cannot be sold online.
Examples of TCS food that are not allowed under the Act include:
- Meat and meat products, including jerky
- Salsa
- Fish and fish products like smoked fish
- Foods containing CBD, hemp, or hemp extract (see question #4)
- Vegetable jams/jellies (e.g., hot pepper jelly)
- Canned fruits or vegetables
- Canned pickled products like corn relish, pickles, or sauerkraut
- Pies or cakesthat require refrigeration like banana cream, pumpkin, lemon meringue or custard
pies; cheesecake; and cakes with glaze or frosting that requires refrigeration (e.g., cream cheese
frosting) - Milk and dairy products like cheese or yogurt
- Cut fruits and vegetables
- Caramel apples
- Hummus
- Garlic in oil mixtures
- Beverages like fruit/vegetable juices, Kombucha tea, and apple cider
- Sprouts
- Food products with fresh vegetables, fruits and/or cheeses
- Salad dressings
- Acidified foods
But if you become a vendor we can direct clients to you and market your products online. You can even allow for “sold”, “backorder”, or “out of stock” status.

2. Vendor Registration & Compliance
To sell goods on JemezVillage.com, vendors must:
- Register as a vendor and provide necessary documentation.
- Obtain a New Mexico-approved food handler card.
- Comply with local health and safety regulations.
3. Labeling Requirements
Each product listed for sale must feature clear labeling, including:
- Vendor’s name & contact information (phone number, email, website)
- Complete ingredient list
- Allergen warnings (e.g., “Contains: Nuts, Dairy, Gluten”)
- Statement: “This food is homemade and not subject to state licensing.”
4. Tax & Transaction Handling
- JemezVillage.com will collect and remit sales tax as required under New Mexico’s Marketplace Facilitator Laws.
- Vendors must report earnings and comply with Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) obligations.
5. Fulfillment & Delivery Rules
- Sales are limited to New Mexico residents—vendors may not ship across state lines.
- Vendors must ensure safe packaging and handling to prevent contamination.
6. Community & Marketplace Conduct
JemezVillage.com is committed to supporting local farmers, artisans, and businesses. Vendors must:
- Maintain honest and accurate product descriptions.
- Follow ethical business practices and honor customer commitments.
- Engage in community marketing efforts, including optional vendor spotlights and promotions.

Vendor Health and Safety Policy
As a vendor, you are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all food items sold and the consumers who purchase them. This includes adhering to all relevant food safety regulations, maintaining sanitary conditions during food preparation and transportation, and providing accurate labeling of ingredients. Vendors hold liability for any health issues or safety concerns arising from the consumption of their products, including any harm or fatalities. By following these guidelines, you help protect the well-being of your customers and uphold the integrity of our market.
